There are very few things in life that can be achieved with the sole efforts of one person. To succeed, to find happiness and joy- is to have those special people around you who put efforts into making your dreams a reality. Showing gratitude to those people who do their best to bring some joy in your life, in their own unique ways; life would be empty and dull without them. On the occasion of World Gratitude Day, I have penned down a short open letter to Gratitude, the emotions it evokes and its importance.
As simple as the words “Thank You” and “You are special to me” can make one’s day, they can be so difficult to utter. Ego clashes, shyness or just being taken granted for- Gratitude, where do you step in? A thankless job, but an important reminder- gratitude isn’t about receiving a thank you back, it’s about selflessness and spreading joy. To you Gratitude, we would like to thank you for showing the world how just spreading happiness in the simplest of ways can create a butterfly effect of positive emotions. The lessons you teach of showing love and support to the people around you rings true in these times. We all can do with a little positivity in our lives- the happiness and joy from a selfless act is all someone needs. Thank you Gratitude, for the joy you bring to our lives.
An Avid Thanker.
Showing gratitude to the people around you, or even starting a small gratitude journal you fill every morning can soothe you and remind you to be grateful for the little things. Be grateful for the roof over your head, the food on your plate, the people in your life and the health you are in now. The basics we so often forget are the things that we need the most. Not taking these few things for granted can show one to forget minor inconveniences- as there so much more to life than meets the eye.
Today is all about being thankful for the little things and those vital people. Take the time out to show your love and care for those who love you the most. Make their day, who knows, it might mean the happiness of a lifetime to them.
